The Big Apple is absolutely freezing, and it’s not just because I was in Palm Beach with warm temps and sunny skies for almost two weeks. This time of year, as known as the start of winter, leads to more black than usual (or so it seems), with the occasional flash of color.

In this outfit, I chose to incorporate hot pink, which acts as a fun pop. Since this sweater is a bit oversized and simple, a shiny bauble was the perfect way to add some dimension to the outfit. I love the combination of chunky stones and a thick chain. But what I’m most excited about in this post is my pair of Valentino boots.

I could only find them online at Net-A-Porter to link to them above, on sale for about $900 from $1300, but I found them at Saks in Palm Beach for a mere $400. It was the day after Christmas sale, and the price was so great that it only felt necessary to make a purchase. They’re biker chic meets street side glamour, due to the ruffled trim and gold hardware finishing. They’re easily becoming one of my wardrobe’s must-haves, and the zip detail makes them such a fun buy.
