Shirt: Millau via LF, Shorts; H&M, Shoes: Nanette Lepore, Handbag: LF, Ring: Frangos via Charm & Chain, Necklace: Danielle Stevens via Cusp, Sunglasses: Chanel
I’ve been waiting for just the right time to wear these shorts since purchasing them two weeks ago. Eyeing them everyday since hanging them up in my closet, I finally decided to wear them to dinner last night in the Hamptons. I love the shorts’ neon hue and wanted to emphasize the punchy pallet via accessories for a summery yet dressy look. I chose one of my favorite colour-block platform sandals of the season which are now on sale, a chunky cocktail ring, a clutch that I picked up from LF last weekend that is reminiscent of both Bottega Venetta and McQueen but has a younger look, and a necklace that is a total summer staple. It’s versatile since it can be worn both short and long, and it conveniently matches with everything.
There’s something so fresh and cool about the juxtaposition of chunky jewels on clothing, and how the combination can simply create a classic-meets-contemporary aesthetic.
