I have a dream today is the simplest, yet my favorite line from Martin Luther King Jr.’s I Have A Dream speech. Whether we dream big or small, it’s up to us to accomplish it. I spent the majority of my day off relaxing at home, nibbling on my mom’s amazing food and dozing off on my couch while watching Midnight In Paris. However, I felt like I needed to get some air in the morning, despite the freezing cold temperatures.
I wore a Topshop t-shirt with J Brand corduroys, Frye boots, a Furla tote (the perfect splash of tangerine), and two of my favorite vintage pieces: a fur and leather coat that I purchased at a flea market on the West Side (a Catherine Zeta Jones favorite) and a chunky multicolored stone necklace that I bought at a garage sale in the Hamptons. I could definitely see one of the Golden Globes fashionistas wearing this necklace on the red carpet.
Although staying in bed a little later than usual, eating comfort food and watching a brilliant Woody Allen film is great, I find just as much pleasure in being busy on the streets of New York, working and accomplishing my dream.
with style,
S
