Celine It On

Back to work means back to bags that can fit all of our daily needs. No more (until my next vacation) small daytime clutches, cross-bodys and satchels like I was able to wear in Palm Beach; they’ll have to wait to be fashioned strictly at night. It’s back to Marc Jacobs totes, Louis Vuitton shoulder bags, and Balenciaga oversized city styles. These bags are not ones to complain about, but my shoulders were much more satisfied with the smaller ones.

One of the most popular handbags right now, and is one of my personal favorites, is Celine’s Boston Bag. It is truly perfect. It is oversized and attention grabbing, yet it has an elegant simplicity which demonstrates that it was not over designed. It’s modern and has charming details; from the shape and straps to even the zippers.

The bag comes in endless color options, and I have yet to find one that I don’t like. There’s mustard, peach, black, plum, blue, you name it. You can go either way: bright and fun, more unique, or neutral and classic, just as fabulous but a bit more practical.

The blue seems to be most popular amongst Lily Alen, Claudia Schiffer and Leighton Meester.

I’ve seen countless women from on the streets of New York City to the tabloids fashioning this tote, and I absolutely want one. But, there is one issue: it goes against being on a reasonable budget (the bag ranges from $1800-$2500 depending on color). However,  you find yourself in this situation with all of these high-end brands.

It is most certainly a lust, so not a must, but there is something completely wow about this bag.

What do you think about Celine’s Boston Bag? Is it a must-have, or is it simply nice to look at?

with style,
