Palm Beach isn’t a place where one should be worried about wearing too much color; there is no such thing. Women are known for dressing beautifully in their oversized hats, elegant frocks, and eclectic selection of handbags from brands that we admire like Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Judith Leiber.
Wednesday night was “Seafood Night” at our club, a decadent buffet full of the best seafood and every kind of other food you could imagine.
I especially loved the crepe bar–the ones filled with Nutella are my guilty pleasure. Most sit outside, but since it was freezing out, my family wanted to sit inside.
Luckily, I was dressed in an outfit suited for both seating arrangements.
I wore my brand new Plenty by Tracy Reese (one of my favorite fashion designers) romper that I purchased at Nordstroms and paired it with my hot pink Courage B cashmere shall, Reed Krakoff wristlet (obsessed that it’s rose-gold and I got it on sale for $100), J.Crew cocktail ring, and my blue patent leather Christian Louboutin pumps that I received for the holidays last year, which pulled my entire look together.
They’re also so on trend with the popularity of brights.
Tip: rompers are great go-to pieces for resort as they can be dressed up with a pair of pumps or dressed down with a pair of flat sandals.
Although there’s something great about owning a solid colored romper, patterned ones tend to be more slenderizing as the eye focuses more on the design than the fit. It’s perfect for when you’re not in the mood to wear a frock, yet you still want to be dressed.
What’s your take on rompers?
with style,
