Sydney’s Night Before Christmas Eve Outfit

In Holiday, On Sydney on December, 24 2011

I can’t believe that tonight is Christmas Eve. It feels as though we prepare and plan so much for something that lasts for just one day; but, that’s the fun of it.  The stores were packed late last night, especially at Bloomingdales.  The majority of the shoppers were men -getting in some last minute shopping- and it was sweet watching them figure out what to buy.

It’s crazy to be shopping when Christmas day is tomorrow, but the sales have been too good to pass up.

I spent the majority of my day in hair and nail salons, so it felt good to walk around NoHo and the stores in the area before heading to dinner. As you can see, my hair is not straight as per usual–after watching my friend fix her hair emergency for hours, one of the other hairdressers decided to experiment with a curling iron on me.

It worked with the outfit, but I definitely like my hair straight–I do not want have the Carrie Bradshaw from the early 80’s look.

I wore my new Zara sweater (I’m absolutely obsessed with it-the soft color pallet with metallic pipping makes it look much more expensive that it actually is), American Apparel leggings, Via Spiga boots, Aqua [faux] fur vest, Chanel handbag, earrings from a trunk show in Palm Beach, Ray-Bans, J.Crew cocktail ring, and my brand new Ippolita bangles that I went completely head-over-heels for when I received them the other day–rose gold is my favorite color hardware.

I’m going to be out all day today, so my outfit is going to have to be stylish while functional.  Time to take a trip to my closet! But most importantly, enjoy your Christmas: dress festive, indulge in holiday food, and have fun with the traditions you follow!

Before you know it, you’ll be opening presents by the chimney.

with style,

S
