Louboutin (Lust) vs Aldo (Must)

In Shoes on March, 05 2011

For the girl who loves Louboutin’s, but not the price, I’ve found a perfect Spring shoe for you.  Christian Louboutin is, in my opinion, the most brilliant shoe designer in the fashion industry.  The variety of styles and colors are impeccable, and the red sole and heel tops every shoe off with perfection.  By the way, did you know that Louboutin is creating a shoe called ‘Blake’ in honor of Gossip Girl star Blake Lively?  So cool.  Unfortunately, Louboutin’s are extremely expensive; however, certain brands have come out with look-alikes, but not in a noticeable way that looks as if you’e wearing a copy.  Aldo is a shoe brand that has achieved this well.

A classic lust Louboutin shoe is ‘Bianca’, a black platformed stiletto slingback pump, and is $750 too expensive.  Aldo recently came out with a great look-a-like, ‘Aime‘, that might actually suit you better come Spring and Summer due to the color options.  As said on Aldo.com, these high-heel slingback pumps feature almond-toe, compensating high-platform, and hot patent finish.

What I love most about this shoe is the three colors that it is available in: camel, khaki, and black patent.  Each color is great, but the camel pump is my favorite.  Camel is a refreshing color, and will somewhat replace your black shoe during Spring and Summer since it’s a basic color.

Not only will this camel ‘Aime‘ shoe be perfect for parties and cocktail events, but it will also look great during the day for a city girl on-the-go look.  Wear these pumps with a navy-blue, camel, and white tie-dye dress, and belt it with a camel belt if you wish.  For accessories, a metallic navy-blue and camel hardware oversized handbag will look great, a gold and clear-stoned ring, delicate earrings with hints of pearls, aviators, and midnight blue metallic nail polish to tie everything in.

The ‘Aime‘ pumps are available in all three colors on Aldo.com for $80.  Do you think this is a good Style Solution?
