After a stressful week in the city, my family thought it would be a great idea to go away for a night to get some rest and relaxation.  I’ll give you a hint as to where I am: it involves lots of chocolate…Hershey World.  A silly vacation spot, but it’s rather close to NYC and chocolate is my weakness – so yummy.  There are hershey kisses everywhere I go! Plus, the chocolate spa treatments and quaint boutiques are quite satisfying.  Although chocolate can be a great gift, unfortunately it doesn’t involve fashion.  Here’s what I recommend as a holiday gift today.

Pomegranate is by far the most popular color of the year and is the “happy medium” between red and pink.  I’m not a big fan of pink, and red is a little too strong with my complexion, so pomegranate is a good solution (i’m actually wearing a pomegranate sweater now). Designers have constantly been seen incorporating pomegranate into their collections, so by getting a girl a piece of clothing in this color, you’ll definitely be following the trends.

Monrow – a brand sold on Piperlime.com – just came out with an adorable Gold Studs pomegranate blouse that is perfect for cruise and the holiday season.  The blouse has a hint of a tribal look yet the color brings glamour, the studs bring edge, and the deep v-neck gives it a sexy look.

For the holiday season, pair the blouse up with some tight black leggings, high-heeled booties, a boyfriend blazer, and a black fur vest.  You should definitely wear a gold purse with this look to bring out the studs – it can be a hobo or a clutch.  For cruise, you can find great Michael by Michael Kors gold linen shorts that are a little over $100 and will give you a bright chic look.  If you’re not comfortable wearing shorts, wear some skinny white jeans and gold sandals (a heal is your preference).  For a purse, you could wear a gold straw-esq bag for day and a clutch for night.  For both seasons, keep the jewelry simple with some gold stud earrings and cocktail ring.
