Award season: glamour, entertainment, red carpets, A-List celebrities, shiny trophies, stunning dresses…the list of words that come to mind are quite endless. With the Golden Globes airing this evening, there is so much to look forward to. From the red carpet entrances and hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to the winning pictures leading to further Oscar predictions and more, this is an award show not to miss. While some like to throw big soirees of their own, I like to keep mine small with few friends and family over festive snacks and drinks: popcorn (with a variety of topping options, including cheddar and carmel powder from Sur la Table and truffle oil from Williams Sonoma), candy (chocolate Twizzlers and Crunch bars), and some peach bubbly (sparkling apple juice was my alternative). Think movie night gone a little more glam than usual, while still keeping it simple and stylish (disposable table cloths are not usually my thing, but in this instance it works, cute popcorn holders, and toppings on coasters).
