I’ve always had a sweet tooth, but boy does it come into full swing during the holiday season! There’s something so festive and special about holiday cookies that I insist on my mom making them every year–because mom’s touch is always the best. But most importantly, they’re just purely delicious.

You can never go wrong with classic gingerbread men, but we gave a little spin to ours with sprinkle “embellishments.” I also savor sugar cookies in a variety of shapes, including stockings, Christmas trees, and music notes. Their simplicity is topped with beautifully colored sugars and holiday theme decorations.

Lastly, and a rather new addition to our cookie making and decorating, are stained-glass biscotti’s (recipe here), which make for a great hostess gift when placed in a festive box, like these from the Container Store.
