It is hard to believe that this week is already Fourth of July weekend. I say this every year, but really, where did June go?! It’s almost like June isn’t really a summer month since some are still in school, nights are rather chilly, and you can get restaurant reservations in the Hamptons without pulling a “do you know who I am?”. July Fourth Weekend, though, is the weekend in the Hamptons, and marks the official start to what becomes a very lively, happening, chic, fashionable, and jammed packed summer in the Hamptons.
Fourth of July weekend in the Hamptons, for me, means dinners, parties, BBQs, and the beach. This is the weekend where you bump into everyone, be it your best friend, cousin, Russell Simmons, Sarah Jessica Parker, and even a Kardashian sister. Regardless of where I am, or what I’m doing, I like all of my outfits to be pulled together.
There are some Fourth of July plans that require a more casual look. When I want to go casual but still have a fun, summery, and colorful outfit, I like to pull out my white clothes, and bring out my bright accessories. It’s July, so it’s perfectly fine to go all out with your whites. I love a pair of white J Brand skinnies with a crisp white sheer blouse, and then fabulous accessories that bring out the ultimate splash of color.
I especially love to bring out color in chunky bangles. If you’re wearing clothes that are all one color, you want your accessories to be bold. Jewelry designer Megan Odabash has the perfect bangles to make a colorful statement for your Fourth of July Weekend. Megan’s bangles are designed with a flecked bone overlay on a gold metal base, giving them a cutting-edge look.
The bangles come in three stunning colors -green, yellow, and orange- which are perfectly on-trend with the citrusy shades. All three are great options for brightening up your weekend, but I like the orange bangle the best. Pick out your favorite citrusy shade on Intermixonline.com for $75.
