The start of Memorial Day weekend is only two days away, and I am so excited.  What better way to kick off the weekend that screams “summer is here” then with a great pair of shades?  Sunglasses are one of my most important and used accessories: I cannot live without them.  In rain or shine, you will find a pair of shades in my bag, be it a classic Ray Ban, a mens Louis Vuitton, or a lucite Derek Lam.

Each Spring and beginning of Summer, we witness a number of sunglass trends.  This season is all about the dramatic Lady Gaga-esq cateyes, the funky and colorful lucites, and the ever-so-Ozzy Osbourne rounds.  Each trend is bold and fierce, so finding the right trendy shade for you is all based on personal preference.  If you want something animal-like, feminine, and powerful, go for the cateye.  If you want a hip and colorful look, try out a lucite.  And if you want something simple yet chic, a round shade might just be right for you.
