As Carrie Bradshaw says, “As it gets cold outside, New Yorkers stay inside and find ways to generate heat.”

Well, here’s my way: candles. There’s something so serene about a lit candle (or, 7) with a soothing scent to keep toasty during brisk days like today. As my collection is continuously growing, I decided to purchase a white tray to hold them; and, it’s a good excuse for me to keep buying more, because there’s some extra room.

Although my eclectic collection spans from a candle from the Elton John concert in Las Vegas that I went to last April to a Payard scent reminiscent of an oatmeal cookie, my favorites are Diptyque–a classic brand with scents that sooth me on any given day.
