Leather is one of the hautest trends for fall this year, specifically black as the dominant force. Head-to-toe leather looks were seen on the fall/winter catwalk, but there is another (and far more practical way) of incorporating the trend: leather insets. I love the juxtaposition of the leather insets into the denim, making my J Brand jeans one of my favorite purchases of the season. A tip for keeping their sleek and cool aesthetic is to not go to a tailor (this is one instance where one will not come in handy!) and shorten them. Save your money for pants that actually need it. The long length and relaxed vibe will add depth to your outfits paired with stilettos and high heel booties.
And just for leathery kicks, I wore a top with a stitch of leather at the pocket, which is truly one of the most comfortable pieces I own (and it’s under $100)–more colors Barneys, please!
with style,
