Holiday window gazing in New York City is one of my favorite aspects of the holiday season in my hometown, especially at the likes of haute department stores. Last night, Barneys New York unveiled its holiday masterpiece at its Madison Avenue flagship, who this year teamed up Disney. I was so excited to hear the news because last year I was obsessed with Gaga’s Workshop. With this collaboration, the two created an animated short film entitled Electric Holiday, which will be played on a continuous loop on the store’s facade. The characters are all fashioned-up, like Minnie Mouse, who does some serious shopping of her own, lusting over designer pieces such as a red Lanvin frock. Soon after, she’s lost in a stylish daydream which takes her to Paris Fashion Week (gasp!), where she meets the animated versions of fashion’s biggest stars, like Cathy Horn, Carine Roitfeld, and Sarah Jessica Parker. And not to mention, how could one resist Goofy strutting down the runway in Balmain, or Cruella de Vil working her Rick Owens.
Indulge in some sneak peek photos of my favorite animated characters and the Electric Holiday video–this is going to be one fashionable and jolly holiday season.
with style,
