Peter Som is another one of my favorite designers who just showed at NYFW. The collection portrays a refined, classy, and youthful vibe that makes for the ultimate spring fever. A little bit of Easter, Country Club, and luncheon appropriate ensembles are in the mix, with the occasional splash of edge via metallic animal prints and color-infused eyebrows and locks (hair, that is) via models. Som is known for playing with texture and definitely showed it this season with muted floral prints on denim, cutouts, and dresses. The trends: 1960s,1970s, florals, grunge, ladylike, mod, prints-patterns, and retro. The front row buzzed with Olivia Palermo, Hailee Steinfeld and Allison Williams (who I thought all looked super chic), plus Olympic gold-medal runner Sanya Richards Ross.
